So we accidentally celebrated Alyssa’s 1/2 birthday a month early…oops. But “OH MY!” did she have a great time!
It was more awesome than we thought it was going to be. It was a fun excuse to bake her a little cake and wrap up a couple of gifts her Aunt Jerene had sent in a recent package.
She was really jazzed about the cake AND that we sung Happy Birthday AND that she got to blow out a candle.
Here we are singing the first of 3 times!
As you can see Evan really enjoyed the celebration as well! Here is Alyssa about to blow out the candle.
I used one of her Little People to decorate the top, it looked cute with the heart candle that was left over from her “real” birthday.
Then of course she followed in the Foust kid tradition (that Evan started) and plunged into her cake. As you can tell she thoroughly enjoyed her cake…and we let her because I had cupcakes waiting in reserves for Luke and me. :)
The next morning I was slow to wake up when Alyssa came in to tell me she was awake. Sometimes I feel like a little kid, I’m like “Just 5 more minutes!” She usually crawls up on the bed and jumps all over me until I get up, but not this particular morning. I laid in bed for a few minutes and then realized it was WAY too quiet. When I got up and checked on her this is what I found.
MMMmmmmmmm cake for breakfast! :)
