I usually run my blog topics off my husband to see what he thinks before I publish them because sometimes my emotions get the best of me and he usually has a pretty good sense of what is appropriate and what is not. For instance I have lots of friends and sometimes my friends do strange or crazy things and I just feel like the world should hear about them, but then I am reminded that those are inside thoughts.
But this time I can not resist.
So this evening Luke and I are brushing our teeth and talking - which isn't so easy by the way - and the topic of conversation is quite comical and so I tell him that I'm going to blog about it. He immediately threatens me by saying that if I blog about this subject then he is going to blog about how I drool. So there. Yes, I am 29 years old and I drool when I sleep. Okay to be fair, I also drool once my head hits the pillow before I'm all the way asleep. I'm sure he would elaborate more, but I'll just leave that to him to decide. So now with that out of the way.
I know because I'm pregnant that my body temperature is higher than when I'm not. So I'm usually warm most of the time and especially when I'm sleeping. When I go to bed, my pajama's consist of spaghetti straps and sometimes socks, but usually not. Now we've been married for almost 3 years and so this shouldn't be shocking to me, but this evening as I looked up from the sink while I was brushing my teeth I began to laugh because my husband looked like he was getting ready to go outside in the snow. He was even laughing at himself or maybe laughing at me laughing at him. He was wearing his usual undershirt, long sleeve shirt, boxers, long underwear and of course his pajama pants tucked into his socks - his usual - but then he also had on super bulky fleece pajama pants and a really thick hooded sweatshirt. Actually now that I think of it, he does wear a sweatshirt to bed (nicknamed "hoodie" - oh gosh he's so going to kill me), but it's thinner and tonight he brought out the heavy duty hoodie "cousin of hoodie."
So we were quite the pair looking at each other in the mirror.

How can he sleep like that?! He actually hasn't been sleeping well so his thought was to revert back to pre-marriage when he slept in all this plus a sleeping bag to see if he could get a good night's rest.
So I guess we'll see how he is feeling in the morning. He also took a Dramamine, lol, so hopefully he wakes up alive and well.
What do you sleep in?? Yikes, maybe I shouldn't publish this. To push or not to push that publish button....is this only funny to me? Maybe so, but it's my blog and it's so tempting and so late at night. Plus, it's almost his birthday (the big 30 by the way) and Valentines Day so maybe if he gets embarrassed by this I can still make it up to him.
Dedicated to my faithful reader Bridget who makes me laugh and so here is a laugh for you. :)
UPDATE:
A person, who I'll keep anonymous, sent me this link. I think maybe I'll get this for Luke for Valentines Day!
